Photography/Design Manager


Description

Purpose:  The Digital Design Manager is responsible for managing the Internal Marketing and Communications for Yellowstone Club.

Supervisory Responsibilities  

Directly or indirectly supervises employees and/or supervisors; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Club’s policies, procedures and applicable laws; responsibilities include but are not limited to:  interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Major Responsibilities

·         Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.

·         Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.

·         Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times.  In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.

·         Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

·         Generates schedules, checklists, and daily to-do lists for staff

·         Establishes procedures to ensure that information is passed along to team members in a timely fashion

·         Organizes and manages the Internal Marketing & Digital Design front of house areas and back office

·         Creates ongoing training programs to develop a strong Internal Marketing & Digital Design staff

·         Hire, train, evaluate, and offer progressive coaching to all Internal Marketing & Digital Design staff

 

 

·         Member Website

o    Updating and maintaining YC Member Website with marketing materials and communications

o    Posting The Gazette (weekly publication), upcoming events, and departmental offerings to all digital channels

o    Online Event Registration creation, copywriting and graphics

o    Updating online calendar throughout season

o    Compose and send visually compelling and professional emails to Membership (HTML editor)

·         YC Gazette

o    Must be able to write with correct grammar and punctuation.

o    Copywriting – You will gather information, but must be able to edit to fit YC’s rhetoric and tone.

o    Communicate regularly with other departments to compile and organize content

o    Create Layout and generate content using Adobe programs with output in InDesign

o    Link to events and important documents on Member website

o    Compose General Manager’s letter

o    Work with Member Services team members through series of edits/revisions

o    Email to Membership and prepare for print

o    Post to Member Website

o    Maintain email communications in a professional manner to Membership by directing them to the best department or responding to them in a timely fashion.

·         Graphic Design

o    Provide graphic design services for other departments and being able to identify priorities.

o    These include, but are not limited to food & beverage menus, spa menus, services guides, brochures, flyers signage, event marketing, etc.

o    Manage communications boards in Lakeside Lobby and digital screens in various locations

·         Photography Manager 

o    Manage team of photographers for events and on-snow photography (winter)

o    Oversee file archiving and organization, backup processes, online orders

o    Member billing (trains other photographer to bill)

o    Payrolls and timeclock management for photography employees

Management

·         Coordinate and schedule photography sessions

·         All direct management of Design / Photography staff

·         Schedule hours for employees

·         Forecast and manage the department budget

·         Calculate and send commission reports for photography billings

·         Bill for all photography and design services

·         Art direct all projects for quality assurance and to make sure we adhere to brand guidelines

·         Show a sense of urgency where needed and maintain project projected timelines to meet specific deadlines.

·         Communicate with printing companies to ensure cost efficiency and positive relationship.

 

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.  Must be able to handle high pressure situations and last minute requests. Must have the ability to be patient..  Must have an acute attention to detail, a passion for the hospitality/resort business and be excited to live in a ski town.

Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments.  Able to write clearly and legibly.

Able to perform basic math calculations.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
