Description
Our kitchen staff consists of many different positions & responsibilities. Duties range from food prep to line cook to inventory and of course maintaining a clean & safe environment that goes above industry standards. Our Zinc LA location, has a semi-open concept kitchen that provides our customers a look into the high quality & craftsmanship that goes into our food.

Candidates must have a great personality, passion for food, awesome customer service skills, and must thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a high volume restaurant is required as well as previous prep cook history. This winning attitude and the ability to make delicious meals quickly and efficiently, will make you a key member of the team. You are the reason why our customers keep coming back.

Hours of operation differ between each Zinc location. Applicants are expected to have open/flexible availability.
Responsibilities
In addition to modeling Zinc’s culture and values and following policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Delivers Operational Excellence
Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and exudes quality presentation
Demonstrates that customers come first by serving them with a sense of urgency.
Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up.
Understands and adheres to all quality standards, recipes and procedures as outlined in the Zinc Operations Manual.
Participates actively in training to learn new techniques and product knowledge.
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards

Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate will:
Carry a friendly, energetic, personable demeanor and have a passion for great tasting & great looking food.
Exhibit a strong focus on quality with an interest in learning more about Zinc.
Be extremely reliable and punctual.
Enjoy working in a team-environment and building great relationships with their coworkers.
Be able to work quickly, embrace and learn new information, multi-task and incorporate feedback into personal performance.
Have the ability to perform various physical tasks during the work shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Walking and standing for long periods of time.
