South Place Hotel is a luxury five-star hotel in the City of London; boutique, luxurious and fresh-faced.

Angler Restaurant - Our Native coasts rich and plentiful bounty of Fish, Shellfish & Crustacea, will form the principal elements of the menu.

Perched at the top of South Place Hotel, Angler is a Michelin-starred restaurant with a beautiful rooftop terrace, showcasing the best sustainable seafood from British waters.

 Led by Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes, the ever-changing menu features only seasonal and carefully sourced produce, to produce picture-perfect plates. Using passion and precision, Gary meticulously curates each dish to celebrate the taste and textures of the ingredients, using a variation of techniques, flavouring and seasoning. Whilst known for sensational seafood, vegetarians and carnivores are also well catered for with the best seasonal and local produce.

Role: We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who can confidently deliver exceptional 5-star service and ensure that all standards are maintained while leading a section.

If you are not currently based in London/UK, we will be able to offer accommodation in South Place Hotel (up to 2 weeks) while you find something for yourself

 Department responsibilities

 Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes within the specialty section

  • Execute cooking to the highest standard, quickly, and efficiently
  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Be responsible for maintaining a reputation and how it is perceived by customers.
  • Ensure stock is managed and stored according to all Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of designated section
  • Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering
  • You will have a calm demeanour, even when the pressure is on
  • Knowledge of local and international food ingredients
  • Managing and training any Commis Chefs
  • Monitoring portion and waste control
