Assistant General Manager


Description

Creating an dynamic and energetic environment through each of our Food Stalls for our Team Members, Guests and Vendor Partners is the mission of our FB Society Food Stall Assistant General Manager (AGM). The AGM is relentlessly focused on cultivating a team that provides every Guest with a memorable experience that keeps them coming back for more.  They aspire to run perfect shifts by preparing before hand and executing with determination and drive. They know that the guest experience will never exceed that of their teams' experience.  They prioritize their teams' training, coaching and development.  An ability to move and think quickly, change direction on a dime and thrive in a constantly shifting environment is a must.  The ideal AGM has 1-2 years of high-volume sales and quick or fast casual restaurant experience; bi-lingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Business Strategist

  • Drive top line sales performance by delivering stellar experiences, community partnerships, and leadership throughout the stalls
  • Control costs by managing controllable expenses using the systems put in place to successfully manage them
  • Ensure proper labor management through accurate schedule writing, adjusting weekly for changes in sales forecast, event knowledge and weather
  • Maintain a safe, well-manicured stalls, as pristine and organized behind the scenes as they are for the guests

Experience Curator

  • Partner with the GM and stall leaders to ensure each stall creates a focused and unique experience based on the DNA for its brand
  • Ensure quality ingredients are used and recipes executed flawlessly
  • Prepare and communicate a plan each shift with their team to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks before they arrive
  • Possess a near obsessive need to correct any mistakes or flaws in the guest experience, always personally handling any issues that arise

People Champion

  • Hire, train and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Ensure team members have the knowledge, tools and resources needed to be successful in their roles
  • Execute Best First Day orientation and onboarding process for all new team members and managers
  • Create a fun, dynamic and energetic culture that draws potential new team members in and allows them to be their best at what they do
  • Hold entire team to the highest of standards through fair, consistent coaching and feedback

Leadership Partner

  • Own their Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and set standards of stall and shift performance
  • Participate in all manager/stall leader meetings with relevant AOR content including current stall sales, team member updates and financial results, wins, and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with the GM to identify and grow internal talent in with an 'always ready with the next one' mentality for all positions; supply stall and company growth with home-grown talent

A successful Assistant General Manager:

  • moves easily from big picture to nitty-gritty

  • bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related preferred
  • one+ years restaurant management experience
  • proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Office Suite preferred
  • knowledge of Toast POS and/or Decision Logic a plus
