Job Description/Position Title: People Operations Manager
Reports to: Chief People Officer


What you’ll need:
- Integrity: Having a strong moral and ethical compass will steer you in the right direction in this role.
- Discretion: You’ll be a trusted ear and advocate for everyone under the Aurify umbrella.
- Professionalism: Take the high road in your approach.
- Empathy: Walk a mile in someone else’s kitchen (we made that a thing.)
- Collaborative nature: Because “People” is in your title!

What you’ll do:

-Provide communication, training, and support to all GMs and DMs regarding any people-related tools or policy updates
-Maintain all required onboarding documents and policies, and update consistently in the HR System to ensure compliance with -employment laws
-Partner with compliance to communicate the relevant information pertaining to HR-related store postings
-Review and revise handbook and policies annually, ensuring brands are complying with all State and Local laws as outlined in the handbook and supplements
-Maintain current salary/compensation benchmarking data
-Oversee benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to Aurify platform and brand employees
-Handle employee relations counseling and exit interviews, following the hierarchy process already in place (employee to GM to DM first consult with HR or Legal for confirmation of resolution)
-Partner with Chief of Staff on risk mitigation and litigation issues
-Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory
-Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
-Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database
-Conduct designated weekly, quarterly, and annual compliance audits
-Maintain and promote compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.


What else you’ll need:

-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Business Administration, Industrial or Psychology or any related field
-3-5 years of experience in HR and/or a related field (GM experience)
-Exceptional business acumen and problem solving
-Strong verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of Spanish is preferred
-Experience with HRIS Systems; Knowledge of federal and state labor laws
-Decision-making, leadership, and change management skills
-Knowledge of time accounting software, human resources software, accounting/payroll software, enterprise resource planning software and resume submission software; Paycom experience is a plus
-HRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
