Analytics Consultant

Description
Analytics Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with aptitude, a passion to learn, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. The candidate will have demonstrated excellence and mastery of consulting clients in operational data analysis, data visualization, and dashboarding best practices. SQL and Python experience is not a must but will be nice to have. You will be responsible for building out metric calculations within our Analytics solution and work cross-functional with the product, operations, and sales to deliver visualisations, reports, and dashboards that drive our customers’ business and research value. The ideal candidate has succeeded in delivering high-quality products and features in a hyper-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly. We do not prioritize years of experience or educational pedigree; preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrable passion for creating a world-class customer experience as well as a track record of success in delivering new features or products. Hospitality and/or retail leadership experience will strengthen the application.

Responsibilities
  • Own and support the data needs, including capturing requirements and building Analytics dataflows, datasets, visualisations, reports, and dashboards
  • Determine effective formats for the customer and contribute to end-to-end conceptualization, development, and design of reports, dashboards, and advanced static visualizations delineated by customer requirements
  • Consult the customers to drive a data-driven culture
  • Create metrics that are good drivers of user engagement and product and business efficacy
  • Become an expert in the hospitality/retail operational data, how it is structured and how it flows through various business systems
  • Identify methods to continuously improve data integrity across all core and 3rd party data sources
  • Partner with data teams to help develop the best approach to communicating an analysis or model, then bring it all the way from design through development to production
  • Plan, organise, and schedule additional customer engagement sessions to ensure accuracy of requirements
  • Work closely with other team members including Customer Success Managers, Business Owners, Product Managers, Support Engineers, and Development Teams to bring designs to life
  • Create documentation to support your development
Requirements

  • Strong fundamentals in data visualization, reporting, and dashboarding
  • Familiarity with visualization and/or BI tools (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, D3) with proficiency in at least one
  • SQL and Python experience nice to have
  • Leadership in hospitality and/or retail industry experience
  • Strong communications skills, work ethic, aptitude, and passion
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Teamwork commitment, passion for constant development and learning
