Description
Babu Ji restaurant seeks an Assistant General Manager for their busy Union Square location. This position will report directly to the General Manager. The candidate must be an enthusiastic team player with a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications
• 2 Years of relevant restaurant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Must have great leadership abilities and great organizational skills
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees all dining room operations
• Supervise and direct all staff members
• Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues and average check amounts
• Develop effective shift strategies and ensures daily informative shift meetings are held
• Performs administrative responsibilities to include, but not limited to, cash accountability and cash management, inventory control, payroll and personnel procedures
• Oversees weekly timekeeping and labor, track labor actuals
• Coaching, counseling, progressive discipline and review of all employees and managers
• Assists in the training and evaluating of restaurant personnel and enforces food and beverage policies and procedures
• Promotes positive customer relations; handles customer complaints
• Other duties as assigned
