Job Title: National Wine Sales & Marketing Director
Reports to: COO

Position Summary:
City Winery, a leader in urban winemaking, has grown from its original location in Manhattan to eight operations in six cities (New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, Boston and Washington DC) in just 10 years with more aggressive growth to come. Our next locations include Philadelphia in 2019, and a winery in Montgomery, NY which will centralize much of our production. City Winery produces and sells approximately 237,000 gallons of wine annually. While the majority of our wine is sold across our locations, City Winery intends to focus future sales efforts towards building a stronger direct to consumer sales business, including growing our wine club memberships. City Winery is looking to add a new National Wine Sales & Marketing Director to lead these national wine sales and marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have both wine marketing and sales backgrounds and will be in charge of developing and executing our national direct consumer wine strategy, leveraging a strong supply chain of in-house produced wine. This position will be accountable for all retail wine sales and wine club development and membership growth:
Education and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience marketing and selling wine.
- Practical experience specialized in direct to consumer sales
- Experience in tasting rooms with a wine club a must
- Experience with cross channel communications (email, mobile, web, social)
- Experience creating marketing collateral, running incentives/promotions, digital marketing targeting, understanding e-commerce performance metrics and optimization.
- Road savvy with the ability to travel our properties
- Proactive, upbeat and highly motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong planning, organization and time management skills
- Love and knowledge of wine
- Excels in small and fast-paced companies
- Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, GSuite, etc.)
