Marketing Manager - Programming


Description

City Winery strives to deliver the highest-end combined culinary and cultural experience to our customers who are passionate in sharing wine, music, and culinary arts. We are a unique facility, combining a fully functioning winery with intimate concerts, food & wine classes, private events in a variety of configurations, and fine dining. We have created a compelling mix for our sophisticated clientele of foodies, and active cultural patrons—bringing the wine country experience to the middle of a large city.

The Programming Marketing Manager is responsible for developing widespread awareness of the City Winery brand.  This position serves as a brand ambassador for City Winery, and works closely with internal departments to communicate and market City Winery’s concerts and live entertainment.  They will manage the promotional strategy to drive programming revenue, as well as any other activations.


 Minimum Qualifications

  • Mandatory 5 years experience live entertainment marketing experience- concerts, shows, etc.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a marketing management position.
  • High integrity work ethic and a strong passion for music, hospitality, food, and wine.
  • Strong music industry and media relations experience.
  • Strong artistic eye and experience developing a brand.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who can cross collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to successfully multitask and manage several projects at once in a high-pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Professional and effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Mail Chimp, Google Suite, Sprout Social, and social media advertising.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.

 

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue by exceptional marketing designed to drive top line revenue and managed costs.
  • Manage promotional strategy to drive concert and live entertainment revenue.
  • Maintain current, effective, and cost-efficient marketing collateral across all departments in coordination with the graphics department: Posters, Postcards, Flyers, Displays, Signage, Slideshows, and any other needed materials.
  • Promote City Winery show announcements and promotions in weekly emails to City Winery database.
  • Coordinate with programming and box office, events, restaurant, and wine departments on upcoming announcements.
  • Serve as brand ambassador for City Winery.
  • Monitor daily ticket sales reports and communicate with artist teams to market shows and drive ticket sales.
  • Ensure all initiatives are in line with brand standards.
  • Work in tandem with other marketing teams to ensure cohesion.
  • Work with internal team, publicity, and artist management to promote shows.
  • Manage the design and printing of all show marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with programming, box office, and ecommerce for show announcements and ticketing pages.
  • Work with graphic design on digital marketing creative, assemble Mailchimp emails, obtain approvals, and schedule weekly promotional emails.
  • Maintain the customer email database. Explore new avenues to capture customer data and grow our existing database, and work across departments to develop audience retention loyalty activities.
  • Manage social media content calendar and posting schedules for all departments; and compile a monthly data report.
  • Maintain up-to-date media databases with targeted media outlet lists in music, food, wine, events, etc.
  • Manage press list and send show listings out weekly.
  • Collaborate with all departments on content and keep all City Winery information current and active on the website.
  • Collect photos and logos to upload to the website from Programming or Talent directly.
  • Monitor & update external websites driving traffic to our site & links, including all artists websites, wine event websites, partner websites, travel sites, review sites, etc.
  • Ensure clear internal communication across all departments; collaborate and meet regularly with the NY operational teams.
  • Additional projects, tasks, duties as per business needs.

This is a full time benefits-eligible position.
