Barista/Backwaiter

Claudette is growing and we are seeking an experienced, barista/backwaiter to join our team!

The Barista & Backwaiter is one of the key members of our service team. They will be knowledgeable about all menu items and provide high-quality, fast-paced customer service.
• Prepares and serves authentic Italian espresso and coffee drinks
• Provides assistance during service including serving food, clearing tables, resetting tables, stocking supplies, and more
• Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation description upon request
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and products
• Cleans/Sanitize work areas, organized and compliant with Department of Health standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Previous barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
• Experience creating latte art
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for all production
• Dexterity for rapid and consistent espresso creation

Job Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and as much as 10 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand and be mobile for up to 5 hours at a time
• Use of manual commercial espresso machine, measuring tools and cash register
