Chef de Cuisine / Kitchen Manager

Description

THE POSITION
Crew is seeking Kitchen Managers with significant high volume restaurant operations experience for our celebrated seasonal venues.

OUR COMPANY
Crew is an innovative hospitality group behind celebrated restaurants like Grand Banks, Drift In, Island Oyster, Pilot and High Tide. Founded by brothers and lifelong sailors, Alex and Miles Pincus, Crew creates and operates outdoor, waterfront, and experience-focused restaurants. EATER described the group as a “seasonal restaurant phenomenon”; Vogue named its restaurants, Grand Banks, Pilot, and Island Oyster, the top three places to drink outdoors in NYC; and CNN wrote that its innovative venues have “changed the way New Yorkers eat and drink.” Crew offers a dynamic, one-of-a-kind work environment; a crew of enthusiastic, engaged and supportive co-workers; and numerous opportunities for career advancement.

JOB OVERVIEW
As a team leader, a role model, and problem solver, the Kitchen Manager will ensure the daily operational success of our award-winning kitchen and back of house team. Working closely with nationally-acclaimed executive chef Kerry Heffernan, the Kitchen Manager will collaborate on the creation and execution of new items, menus, and seasonal changes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading a celebrated, high quality food program
  • Supervise the preparation, presentation and delivery of food
  • The hiring, development, and day to day oversight of kitchen staff
  • Scheduling of kitchen staff and assigning staff to stations
  • The achievement of financial goals through oversight of inventory and food cost management

COMPENSATION
We are happy to offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
We are committed to creating an outstanding work environment for our employees, with a strong benefit package, an inclusive culture, and opportunities for advancement.
