Bartender

Basic Purpose:

To ensure that drinks of all nature are served and crafted to Botanical Hospitality specifications in an efficient, timely, and friendly manner, to both our guest and your fellow team.

Essential Functions:
1. Ensure that all prep is fresh and in appropriate volumes for the entire shift
2. Ensure that all liquor and beverage is stocked appropriately, with sufficient back up
3. Provide a guest experience that is convivial and welcoming in nature, while maintaining a clean and timely execution of all beverage needs to both the floor and guests at the bar
4. Thorough understanding of all recipes and appropriate glassware for all house made drinks, specials and food menu.
5. Understanding that the bar is one of the main focal points in the dinning room, cleanliness is of the utmost importance.
6. Recognition of our returning guests
7. Awareness of flow in the dining room. (Focus on Service Bar when bar is slow and Vice Versa)
8. Timeliness of coffee service
9. Accountability of all transfers to tables and timeliness of closing out checks.
10. Making an accurate pull at the end of the night, so that the next shift is mise en placed correctly with an updated list of projects to do, low-on orders are clearly communicated to MOD or bar manager, and aged cocktails are batched out.
Secondary Functions:
1. Creation of seasonal or specialty cocktails, with oversight from bar management.
2. Polishing glassware or helping with coffee service

Required Education:
High School or GED strongly encouraged but not required
Experience:
3 years plus of restaurant, hotel and or bar/beverage hosting
Requirements:
Capable of lifting 30lbs or more
Micros Proficient

This is an hourly shift that will vary based on schedule and need.
