Description

At Flat Iron, we’re all about great people, fantastic experiences, and incredible teams. As a Learning & Development Partner, you’ll play a key role in growing our people, supporting our managers, and making sure every team member has the tools and confidence to thrive from day one.  Here’s what you’ll be doing:

What we offer you:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Flat Iron GoldCard – free steak for all!
  • 30 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Staff Parties
  • And more

We are looking for:

  • Passion – You work in hospitality because you care. For you, getting stuck in and living life to the full is more fun than treading water.
  • Like an old friend - You are generous, hospitable and you everyone like old friends. No formality, no showing off. Just care, fun, and a little bit of love.
  • Straight up - No fuss, no-frills. You are honest, decent, and straightforward with others.
  • Indie spirit – You are independent in thought and spirit, not tied to what others say you should or shouldn’t do.

Here’s what you’ll get up to:

  • Making Inductions a Breeze: From day one to their first 3 months, you’ll make sure new starters have an engaging and smooth experience, setting them up to succeed in their roles. You will create induction content and also deliver it.
  • Supporting Their Journey:  You’ll be checking in on our MITs, making sure everyone feels supported and has everything they need to thrive in their new roles. You will be collaborating with our Operations Managers to ensure each newbie is feeling welcomed and is learning what they need to be at that point.
  • Keeping Things Compliant: You will lead on reporting and organising compliance training. You’ll make sure our managers know the ropes, so everything runs smoothly and safely
  • Bringing Learning Projects to Life: You’ll help shape and roll out learning initiatives — from one-off workshops to company-wide projects — making learning engaging, relevant, and accessible for everyone.

  • Driving Development Programmes: You’ll support and evolve our development pathways, helping team members grow their skills and careers in a way that’s right for them and right for the business.
