We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team at an expansive hospitality venue opening up in Wynwood this Fall. Freehold is a unique hospitality, food and beverage concept reminiscent of a bustling boutique hotel but without the actual hotel rooms. Since 2015, FREEHOLD's flagship location in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has enticed guests with a range of accommodations including multiple bars, a coffee shop, restaurant, game room, spacious courtyard, and live music & event space.
Whether holding a business meeting or joining friends for great food and drinks, FREEHOLD is the public assembly space for all.
Traits should include the following:
- Massive Empathy for others
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Preferred Experience in Hotels
- Ability to run line, expedite, and lead a team
- Menu crafting, costing, and execution
- Ability to drive lower cost of sales by executing ordering, receiving and inventory systems
- Experience with hiring, firing, and training kitchen personel
- Experience with back office systems such as NCR Back office, MS Excel, MS Word, Open Table, Avero, Slack, Dropbox etc.
- Composure
- Time management
- Can lift 70 lbs, the equivalent of half a keg of beer
