Description
The ownership team of HK Hospitality is proud to be a staple of the New York City restaurant & entertainment scene for 20+ years! Our concepts require applicants who are passionate about the service industry, energetic with an outgoing personality to enable seamless integration with our existing team.

We are currently seeking to hire a highly motivated Executive Chef to helm the culinary program of a new concept we are launching early 2020. The direction for the new location is upscale modern American tavern with an homage to the turn of the century. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong understanding of industry trends and can bring fresh and creative ideas to our operational team. Leadership ability, including training and building a core BOH team is key. Applicants must have a level of managerial training completed.

POSITION DETAILS
Schedule: Full-time / 45-50 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience
Location: Midtown West/Times Sq./Theater District
Atmosphere: Upscale Dining in a casual & energetic cocktail bar atmosphere
Salary: Starting Annual Base of $85-90K; negotiable based on applicant experience & skillset. Medical benefits are available, including dental & vision. Bonus structure based on performance

Culinary Operation
- Ordering and inventory
- Preparation and production, increase order timing & communication with service staff
- Create ingredient lists, build methods and order guides
- Train and educate ALL staff on the "Hows" & "Whys" of our menu

Staff Management
- Staffing and scheduling
- Hiring, training, and coaching
- Development and maintenance of employee training manuals
- Staff training program
- Planning and content for weekly staff meetings
- Daily pre-shift meetings
- Oversight and input on agenda and content with the management team
- Continual staff evaluations and feedback on performance

Maintenance & Repairs
- Ensure AM & PM health dept. checks are complete
- AC & Refrigeration Compliance Daily
- Grease trap cleaning every 3 months
- Range hood cleaning every 3 months
- Ice Machines cleaned and maintained weekly
