Description

Hotel June is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager for our two signature outlets and bars. Inspired by the soul and spirit of California, Scenic Route and Caravan Swim Club offer vibrant food and drink for hotel guests and the local community. Hotel June has partnered with Hospitality guru, Steve Livigni of award-winning Scopa Italian Roots, Dama, Old Lightning and Black Market Liquor Bar to create new food and beverage concepts drawing inspiration along the coast from Baja, MX to Santa Barbara, CA.  This ideally located 250-room re-imagined Hotel on the Westside with two restaurants, creative event venues, and a spectacular pool deck is the flagship of a new thoughtful, accessible, lifestyle brand from the team that brought you Proper Hotels.  

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for fostering and developing an exciting, positive, results-based environment for the food & beverage team in all outlets and bars. Must possess strong personal organization, genuine hospitality, and care for staff.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a positive working culture for all team members
• Liaise with and support the goals of the culinary management team
• Maintain the quality and consistency of the guest experience
• Responsible for Food and Beverage financial performance including annual budgeting and operating plans, covers/revenue goals, and achieving budgeted expense targets
• Seeks new opportunities and devises strategies for the improvement of the F&B operations
• Oversees operations in compliance with legal and regulatory agency requirements
• Coordinate daily pre-shift meetings with the outlets team
• Assist with creating and maintaining procedural protocol for Outlet Operations
• Maintain daily set up and breakdown in line with the defined aesthetic
• Execute special events coordination, set-up and management
• Actively interact with guests and staff during operations
• Completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties including operations reports, financial documentation, guest correspondence, human resources / staff management paperwork, operations evaluations, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitation checklists, ordering and inventory documentation, and PR/marketing tasks.

Skills/Knowledge Required

•  2+ years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury or lifestyle hospitality environment required   
• Wine and spirits knowledge required
• Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills
• The ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal
• Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong problem solving skills
• TIPS and Serv Safe Preferred

Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
