Hotel June is seeking a Housekeeping & Engineering Manager for our ideally located 250-room re-imagined Hotel on the Westside with two restaurants, creative event venues, and a spectacular pool deck. Hotel June is the flagship of a new thoughtful, accessible, lifestyle brand from the team that brought you Proper Hotels.
· Oversee the heart-of-house operations for the hotel, including the full oversight of Housekeeping and Engineering departments
· Responsible for the scheduling and management of Housekeeping and Engineering departments in line with hotel occupancy and business needs
· Operate within Rooms and POM departmental budgets through effective inventory, labor, and cost controls
· Ensure highest levels of cleanliness and maintenance standards are achieved for all guest rooms and areas of the property
· Create PM schedule for each area of the property and liaise appropriately with vendors and/or on-site team to complete
· Complete maintenance and repair projects in a timely manner and/or delegate appropriately
· Act as property representative for all vendors and contractors involved in room upkeep and property maintenance
· Maintain complete records of maintenance, costs, and repairs
· Act as Hotel MOD when needed
· Other job functions as required by Director of Operations and General Manager
Job Scope
· Performs duties independently with guidance and direction provided by Director of Operations and General Manager
· Position involves a moderate to higher degree of complexity in dealing with recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm
· Provide leadership and training to fellow colleagues
Qualifications
· 2-3 years previous supervisory experience in Heart-of-House Hotel Operations
· Spanish speaking required
· InFor HMS knowledge preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability to stand for 8 hours or more
· Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate the team
· Excellent organizational and planning skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong financial awareness
· Ability to work under pressure
· Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
