DELIVERY AND CATERING MANAGER AT ILILI
JOB DETAILS
As the premier institution of Lebanese food culture and hospitality values in the US, ilili has built its reputation sharing the elevated cuisine of Philippe Massoud with New Yorkers. ilili is the city’s go-to restaurant for sophisticated Lebanese cuisine, and with its acceptance at the upper echelons of New York’s dining scene has achieved world renown. Located on 5th avenue just north of Madison Square Park and south of the Empire State building, ilili is a vibrant, bustling meeting point of New York savvy and Lebanese generosity.
We’re hiring an experienced Delivery and Catering Sales Manager for a full time position to lead the department help the BOH team ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the Delivery department team
• Manage a delivery team to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Oversee daily activities of delivery team and provide direction and guidance as needed
• Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence
• Serve as primary contact for guest inquiries and concerns
• Develop process improvements to achieve cost effectiveness and times saving
• Make critical business decisions to meet guest expectations
• Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with guests for business growth
• Analyze and troubleshoot delivery issues in a timely fashion
• Communicate efficiently with delivery vendors and delivery platforms
• Purchase stock items and maintain inventory and keep inventory area well-organized
• Managing delivery drivers team members; including hiring, guiding and scheduling

REQUIREMENTS:
• Basic math skills as it pertains to portioning and waste management
• Ability to lead and supervise driver team members and exhibit excellent leadership and management skills
• Ability to work cleanly and efficiently with attention to detail while following DOH standards
• A strong sense of urgency and strong communication skills; able to speak with guests and delivery team members daily as well as good written communication skills to create detailed reports
• Team work ethics
• Experience working in a fast paced and high energy environment
• Must possess thoroughness, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly and constantly improve
• Emailing and calling inquiries on a daily basis throughout the week
• Promote, price, plan, coordinate and supervise execution of private parties, special events & catered events
• Working beside the Private Events & Catering Director to develop marking & sales plans to grow the department & meet sales projections/exceed expectations
• Communicate all event details to Private Events & Catering Director, FOH & BOH management
• Occasional late nights & weekends when required for events, or during the busy seasons
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required Experience:
• 1-2 years’ experience within a New York City fine dining restaurant
• Proficient in private events, including sales & execution
• Minimum of 2 years in Hospitality experience, preferably in events or catering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possess passion for food and wine, with a strong desire for development and advancement
• Qualified candidate must have a polished, professional demeanor and presentation, an eye for quality and an attention to detail
• Excellent sales and negotiating skills
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to generate new business
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet constant deadlines

Preferred Experience:
• New York event sites knowledge
• Experience in restaurant/catering operations (as a server, supervisor, banquet staff, etc)
• Experience using technology platforms such as Micros, OpenTable, Avero, TripleSeat or comparable platforms
