Service Captain/ Sommelier


Description
We are looking for a sommelier/captain/server who exudes hospitality, is upbeat and friendly and enjoys being hands-on on the floor. Our ideal candidate is someone capable of interacting well with our upscale fashion and media clientele, who can handle pressure well and thrives in a high volume, high energy environment.

During the day the position entails wine list maintenance, wine ordering, monthly inventory, staff education. During service, you will be active on the floor as the service captain and sommelier.

Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in a fine dining downtown establishment
- Good knowledge of wine (Som degree a plus but not a requirement)
- Experience with wine and service staff education
- Proficient skills with POS systems (Micros preferred)
- Experience with a Beverage management system ​in taking and recording inventory

Personal requirements:
- Energetic, cheerful, warm, personable and enthusiastic demeanor
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills
- Enthusiastic about cooperating with a creative and diverse team
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a stylish and chic downtown environment.

This is a full time position. The restaurant is open for dinner service only.
