Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates extensive knowledge in wine selection and ensures the wine list is in keeping with the menu and recent trends.

  2. Creates a memorable “experience” for all guests by ensuring exceptional service, showmanship and professionalism.

  3. Works with Beverage Operations Manager to consistently meet revenue and profitability goals for beverage programs.

  4. Able to organize wine cellar and storage area for spirits.

  5. Conducts all beverage related training programs (wine service, spirits service, up selling, etc.)

  6. Develops wine, spirit, and cigar program, including wine lists for the Hotel and all food outlets.

  7. Participates in the purchasing of wines, spirits and special requested items related to cigars, glassware, etc.

  8. Assists all outlets with wine service as needed.

  9. Maintains inventory of wines on property. Ensures accountability for all product at each outlet.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communications skills.

  2. Must have experience in Food and Beverage Operations.  

  3. Experience must include at least 5 years fine dining experience and 5 years in management.

  4. Must be a trained Sommelier and have extensive wine knowledge.

  5. Must have membership to a Sommelier Guild.
