Description
Kitchen at Cobble Hill is a casual American brasserie with some Eastern European flair. Having been in business for 9 years, and serving lunch, dinner and brunch, we have made a mark in family-oriented elevated home-style cooking.

Kitchen is looking for a NYC experienced (5+ years) sous chef who is ready to be a chef and run the kitchen. Someone who would let his creative cooking satisfy the neighborhood's gastronomical needs.

Must be well-tempered, a team player, enthusiastic, and experimental with food. A good leader to BOH - guiding, inspiring and supervising them.

Main responsibilities:
- maintain quality and consistency of the food
- working on the line for educational purposes and consistency control
- inventory control
- running weekly specials
- food cost
- waste management
- menu planning (4 seasons)

This is a working chef position, you will be expected to work the line to educate line cooks, prep main dishes, sauces, etc., and keep the on-going continuous training for BOH. Running specials on weekly basis and stay within the food buying budget.

Compensation besides salary includes profit sharing (discussed in person).
