Demipower is a privately-run family business that started in 1989 and is currently the second largest KFC franchisee in the UK, responsible for operating over 115 KFC restaurants across Greater London, Midlands, East Anglia, Home Counties, Western England and Wales. We are continuing to grow at pace as part of the KFC owned brand of quick service restaurants serving fried chicken. About the Role:


As an Assistant Manager you will assist the Restaurant Manager in the day to day management and leadership of the team. On occasion you will deputise for the Restaurant Manager completing all relevant tasks.
You will supervise shifts ensuring sales, profitability and standards are maximised and all Company policies and procedures are adhered to. You will deputise for the Restaurant Manager as and when required

Key Responsibilities:


  •  People - Leadership and development of a diverse team.
Support and assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the restaurant is correctly staffed to meet the needs of the business, recruiting additional staff as necessary.

  • Customer - Create a customer-focused environment that is appealing to KFC’s diverse customers.

Manage all customer complaints in line with Company policies 


  • Sales - Understand local competition and assist the Restaurant Manager to increase visibility within the local community.
Develop a strong sales culture in your store, setting team members and team
leaders clear sales targets for every shift

  • Profit - Support and assist the Restaurant Manager in the development of a strategy to maximise profitability of the restaurant.
Ensure that all cash handling and in-store banking procedures are adhered to at all times.

Job Requirements:


  •  Previous experience managing and leading a diverse workforce.
  • Assist with training new colleagues and welcoming them into the team.
  • Previous experience working in Retail and Hospitality management.
  • Provide excellent customer service experience.
  • Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to drive sales and increase profitability.
  • Coaching, developing, and leading a team to achieve fantastic results.
  • Good communication skills at all levels.
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and procedures.
  • Complete administration, stock take and banking / finance duties.
  • Ensure that our restaurants look presentable and vibrant.
