DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Essential Functions:
o Explains menu items and offers appropriate suggestions to Guests.
o Performs Guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages to the Guests promptly and following the standards set by the restaurant.
o Safely handles food prep equipment such as knives, coffee maker, iced tea machine, etc.
o Uses the POS (Point of Sale) system and handheld device effectively and accurately.
o Must maintain safe, clean and sanitary workstation.
o Able to transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate Guest.
o Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, handle crowds and put Guests at ease.
o Must be able to communicate and interact with co-workers in high stress time effectively.
o Performs a variety of tasks. Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for extended period of time, and have ability to accurately handle money, make change and process credit card transactions.
o Able to follow recipe book.
o Able to adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts, training and required meetings.
o Operate and participate effectively in a team environment.
o Twists and reaches constantly. Grasps objects to move or manipulate them constantly.
o Stands and walks constantly inside and outside the restaurant.
o Listen to and comprehends instructions from Guests and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly. Frequent hand washing required.
· Other Functions:
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
o Must adhere to company uniform and appearance policy.
