Job Summary
The District Manager at Kizuki leads the success and growth of the business by effectively training, coaching and developing a team of General Managers and store teams.

As a leader of our brand, the District Manager is responsible for the customer and team member experience and focused to deliver exceptional food quality through our system and one house philosophy.

The District Manager must have the ability to enhance operational excellence through rapid Kaizen and Lean coaching to further enhance the culture of Kizuki while modeling our guiding principles so we can deliver on our vision and mission.

In addition, as we are a growth company, this role will require tremendous cross functional ability in working with the support center in program development and strategic implementation. The programs developed will cover human resources and both restaurant and culinary aspects.

Ideally this candidate will have the ability to grow to the next level of Director or VP of operations.


Summary of Key Responsibilities
The Customer Experience
• Leads and develops our teams through our system and various assessments by providing feedback, supporting goal setting to elevate team performance so we can bring joy to our customers.
• Spends majority of working time observing restaurant environments, operational effectiveness, coaching and developing General Managers to achieve goals of the company
• Holds General Managers accountable for providing exceptional customer service and outstanding food and beverage quality consistently across the district
• Solicits customer feedback and proactively responds to local market needs

The Team Member Experience
• Lead and communicates with integrity, honesty and promotes the culture of Kuzuki by living our guiding principles
• Provides clarity and builds competence so that we can empower our teams and take control of operational improvements
• Attracts, selects, trains, develops and inspires. Is he gate keeper of our brand and culture and assures retention and growth of our team members.

Operational Leadership
• Leads and develops Kizuki’s operational initiatives, analyzes restaurant business trends and results
• Monitors staffing levels and training to ensure restaurants achieve and maintain operational requirements
• Ensures adherence to wage and hour laws for team members and hold General Managers accountable for compliance
• Identifies and embraces challenges to solve problems and coaches General Managers to do the same
• Utilizes and demonstrates leadership principles to create and maintain successful team of General Manager’s, resulting in an environment where team members are valued, respected, engaged and capable to solve problems

Experience
• 2-4 Years experience in multi-unit restaurant management or retail environment
• Previous accountability of P&L
• Previously led teams of General Managers preferred
