Description
Server

Server is the ambassador that connects the Kizuki experience with our guests. The entire server team is required to bring his or her A game to the work and delivery the best guest experience everyday.

To become a server, you must first master all of the FOH assistant stations. The amount of time to master all stations is up to the team members themselves. Attention to details, work fast and stay positive are some of key to success.

With our culture of putting people first, we expect our team to help each other between stations that means the server team will perform the FOH assistant functions such as buss, expo or host when needed.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
• Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
o Follow Standard Operation Procedure a.k.a SOP to work in the restaurant when scheduled.
o Maintains a positive and calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for other team members.
o Maintain an awareness of all menu information, promotions, merchandise and advertisements.
o Assists with new team member training by positively recognizing good performance and giving respectful coaching as needed.
o Contributes to positive team environment and communicates to General Manager in case of team morale and performance change
o Follows Kizuki operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
o Maintains a clean and organized workspace
o Maintains regular and punctual attendance
o Basic mixology knowledge and bar duties such as pouring beer, wine, sake, liquor based on SOP and create mix drinks based on company provided recipes.
o Learns and recommends all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage to all guests to ensure guest satisfaction
o Educates guests about Ramen and the Kizuki brand.
o Engages and understands the customer’s needs and discover ways to meet their needs and more.
o Accurately and efficiently ring up food items on the POS
o Follow up with guest to ensure guest satisfaction with food and service and communicate concerns to management.
o Checking back on tables, offering additional beverage, desserts or other add-on items.
o Adheres to company cash handling policies and procedures.
o Thank the guest for their visit and invite them to come back.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Ability to work as part of a team and work any stations when needed
• Ability to learn quickly
• A positive attitude and smile at all time
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Ability to stand and walk for minimum for 4 straight hours when needed.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills
• BASSET Permit
• Mixology knowledge
• Ability to problem solve and stay self-motivated
