Description
We are a busy and fun, fine dining restaurant in the Chatwal Hotel.
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef who enjoys all aspects of hospitality and thrives in challenging environments.
It is a full-time positions with room for growth and education
We pay a well and look to build a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working environment and guest experience
- Inventory control (Front and Back of House) in conjunction with appropriate managers in each department.
Duties include, but not limited to:
o Direct, lead, train, and mentor a team to better improve the guest experience in private and casual dining venues.
o Continually work with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to ensure quality standards are being met and implemented.
o Meet daily with a member of the sales/private dining team to discuss events and new markets for opportunity.
o Ensure that ordering needs are handled for seamless delivery and execution of all culinary related private events and casual dining venues.
o Monitor the cost of goods and communicate this daily to the chef, as profit margins should be of the highest in the operation in private and casual dining.
o Develop schedules and well detailed check lists to ensure seamless delivery and execution of all culinary related private events and casual dining venues.
o Oversee that the sanitation of all areas of the kitchen remain at the highest standard at all times. o Strictly monitor labor budget and practice efficient use of employee hours.
o Work with the chef to develop a continually more aggressive seasonal private dining menu
Conduct yourself with the highest of professionalism and morale at all times, both within the property and outside, while setting and enforcing the example to all associates.
