The Lambs Club by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced sommelier with a passion for hospitality who want to join our exciting wine program. We are a fun, fine dining restaurant located inside the Chatwal Hotel.
This position is perfect for an entry level to intermediate sommelier who is looking for room to grow.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of similar experience in a fine-dining, upscale dining environment and strong English communication skills. Other language skills are a plus.
The sommelier's main responsibility is to assist guests in selecting the perfect wine to enhance the guest's experience, working together in conjunction with the rest of the team to deliver a memorable experience.
We are seeking individuals who have great passion for their craft, starting with the utmost hospitality, an intense curiosity and thirst for learning, great communication skills, strong work ethic, respect and integrity, and of course, a commitment to excellence.
High volume experience is preferred and a polished appearance is required. They are an important personal contact and ambassador to guide guests through their meal. We are looking for sommeliers that will embody Geoffrey Zakarian's brand and level of hospitality to elevate the culinary experience.
Overview of Responsibilities:
• Assisting the Wine Director in back of the house tasks: cellar stock, cellar organization, station prep.
• Stock wine, maintain wine list, communicate 86s, maintain clean wine storage spaces.
• Exhibits proper technique and handling of wine pours, openings, and storage on the floor.
• Begin each shift prepared, sharp, and in uniform.
• Taking part in leading pre-service meetings and applicable closing duties
• Maintaining a constant floor presence and able to deliver guests a memorable wine experience
• Demonstrating a passion for hospitality and attention to details.
• Communicating with kitchen, managers, and sommeliers to ensure guest satisfaction
• Upholding service standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
• Demonstrating full knowledge of all menus
• Participating in the execution of service/wine/culinary education training sessions
Ideal Candidates will have:
• 1-2 years floor sommelier experience in an upscale / fine dining restaurant
• Strong knowledge and interest in wine & food
• Passion for hospitality

• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Able to give constructive feedback and follow direction
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Lift up to but not limited to 50 pounds of weight
