We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Bread Baker to join our exceptional team of service leaders! This role will assist in the production of a dynamic bread program for the restaurants and bakery including seasonal specials.
Leonelli Restaurant & Bar is a casual Roman-inspired trattoria with an accompanying craft cocktail bar and lounge led by Chef Jonathan Benno. Located in the landmarked and newly redesigned hotel The Evelyn in New York’s NoMad neighborhood, the art deco-inspired design and rich color palette of dark woods, green marble, and amber tones seamlessly meld “old New York” with “old-world Italy”. Considered one of the top chefs in the country, and recognized for his dedication to quality and craftsmanship, Jonathan Benno’s career spans more than three decades, having worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants.
The pastry and bread program is spearheaded by the remarkable Salvatore Martone. A native of Naples, Italy, Chef Martone has garnered numerous accolades over the course of his career. He received a James Beard Award nomination for Best Pastry Chef in 2015, was named one of the Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America by Dessert Professional in 2015, and won the 3rd Annual StarChefs.com International Pastry Competition in 2012.
