Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
Assist with the operation management of a 750+ capacity food, drink and event space
Manage standards and quality across all areas of the venue and front of house operation
Work with the Venue Management team and your team to develop the venues product, offers, deals and standards of service.
Ensure that the venue operates to the highest standard at all times
Ensure that the FOH set up and close-down procedures are followed on a daily basis.
Ensure that the BOH set up and close down procedures are followed on a daily basis.
Attend operations meetings as required to obtain all relevant forthcoming event and business information
Assist with the building of a Standards of Procedure Manual ensuring it is kept up to date
Effectively manage venue supervisors, the front of house and back of house service team
Manage guest billing and daily takings
Manage the guests welcome, customer journey and experience.
Ensure all daily departmental procedures are followed.
Receive and act upon all customer and client feedback
Ensure that all accountable staff are adequately trained and skilled to the required level
Prepare and manage the venue FoH and BoH team rota, ensuring that all shifts are covered in line with business objectives and budget.
Fully deputise in the absence of the Assistant General Manager.
Ensure effective management of light equipment and stock control
Adhere to the Company credit, cash and purchasing policies at all times
Conduct staff performance appraisals
Comply with all Company policies, procedures and statutory regulations, including human resources, health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH.
Creating a positive image and environment and enhancing all working relationships
Assist with overseeing the smooth running of multiple food, drink and miscellaneous retailers.
Representing the Market Halls Brand when interacting with guests and being a face of the venue
General:
Assist the GM with Market Hall’s marketing team to ensure Catering and Event services are promoted to the target audience and advertised effectively to maximise financial return for the Hall.
Record relevant customer comments and ensure that any issues are resolved positively and fed back to the relevant supplier for action.
Work closely with your General Manager on initiatives, which will benefit venue and team.
Actively contribute as a member of your venues management team, attending key meetings.
In conjunction with Market Halls Finance team and your General Manager, review financial data to ensure accurate figures are recorded and reported.
Ensure contractors comply with legal and Market Hall requirements to include:
a. H&S
b. Food Hygiene
c. Fire regulations
d. Licensing Law
e. Sales of Goods/Trading Standards
Report to the General Manager on progress regularly and as required.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the General Manager or any member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Work with General Manager to maintain and manager your venues equipment and upkeep.

Experience and qualifications
Essential
Supervisor experience of:
At least 2 years working at supervisor level working in a multifaceted catering/hospitality business and/or high-level relationship management
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal forms of communication.
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Cash handling experience.
Knowledge of wet led business.
Knowledge and understanding of events programming and coordination
Desirable
Basic sales & marketing, ideally within a catering environment
Familiar with customer feedback processes via Trip Advisor and Design my Night.
Experience/ Basic knowledge of Food Hygiene, Licensing, Fire, Sales of Goods/Trading Standards 3
Level 1 (foundation) certificate in Food Safety and Health & Safety
First Aid Certificate
