Test Analyst


Description
As one of the UK’s largest management pub and restaurant companies, Mitchell’s & Butlers has an exciting opportunity for a Test Analyst to join the Business Change and Technology team on a permanent basis. You will be solely based in Birmingham City Centre, in an office flexible role and your main objective is to ensure that the Mitchells & Butlers Test Policy and Processes are maintained and delivered correctly in accordance with the agreed Company approach and standards. The Test Analyst will, as part of the Test Team, be responsible for the daily Testing practices within Mitchells & Butlers in accordance with the Testing Schedules as directed by the Test Manager.

The responsibilities of a Test Analyst are varied and rewarding, and includes the following:

• Fully understand and comply with the Mitchells & Butlers Testing Methodology and Processes
• Responsible for ensuring that all assigned Integration testing is executed, recorded and evidence stored to allow sign off within the agreed framework to be completed
• Day to day working as part of the Testing Team
• Ability and willingness to adopt new practices and learn new skills
• Carry out appropriate release testing tasks as scheduled
• Prepare Testing Deliverables for review by Test Manager

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of structured test methods and processes as part of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong analytical skills
• Meticulous and high attention to detail
• Understanding and appreciation of Time Management
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
• Preparing concise and accurate test documentation
• Proven experience of Test Management Tools e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years equivalent work experience preferably in a Hospitality or Retail environment
• ISEB qualification preferable
• Knowledge of an Object Orientated programme language C++, Java, C# desirable

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum.
