Description

SENIOR MARKETING & COMMUNITY MANAGER

The Senior Marketing & Community Manager for Mercado Little Spain acts as the primary point person and day-to-day representative for all things marketing and communications for this Spanish food hall. Working closely with his/her counterparts on the ThinkFoodGroup marketing team (based in Washington, DC), this position is based at Mercado Little Spain in New York’s Hudson Yards and reports jointly to the MLS Executive Director along with TFG Sr Director of Communications and Brand & Marketing Director, Restaurants. He or she will manage all onsite activities and campaigns encompassing marketing, digital, public relations, social media, promotions and programming for Little Spain.
Working knowledge of Spanish cuisine and culture is an integral part of this role. Bilingual (Spanish, English) is preferred.



Marketing & Community
Act as MLS ambassador to the Hudson Yards, neighborhood and New York City communities, attending events, networking and forging important alliances with external partners and influencers
Work closely with TFG Brand Director, Restaurants on all collateral messaging, creation and production
Collaborate with TFG Graphic Designer on design of promotional materials – digital and in-store
Work with MLS Retail Manager to ensure all in-store display and marketing materials are in sync

Onsite PR
Coordinate and host media visits
Day-to-day onsite POC for PR agency and media requests
Create and maintain ongoing MLS press materials
Work with TFG and PR agency on PR calendar, events and strategy
Oversee media photo and video shoots as necessary

Onsite Social Media
Help generate onsite content, i.e. photos, videos and messaging
Work closely with TFG Social Media Manager to maintain social media best practices, create and maintain content calendar and handle posting and review analytics to determine successes and challenges.
Establish and grow relationships with NYC and NYC-based social influencers, and host them onsite

Digital Marketing
Work closely with TFG Digital Marketing Director on strategy and execution of all digital efforts
Help to maintain updated content on MLS website
Create and maintain digital promo calendar for emails
Oversee execution of user acquisition strategy for MLS
Run reporting and conduct general metric analysis from tools like social Wi-Fi, beacons, etc.
