Bar Tulix is looking for experienced BOH candidates. We are seeking a talented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team!
Bar Tulix is bringing Coastal Mexican cuisine to Soho, paired with the best Mezcal and Tequila Mexico offers and wine-based around Baja California and California regions.

Qualification:
* Minimum 2 years of professional cooking experience in NYC restaurants.
* Can read and follow recipes, as well as follow directions and lists outlined
by a chef
* Understand and follow the proper DOH food safety policies
* Are punctual
* Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
* Can work in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure
* Have the ability to stand while working for long periods
* Can lift to 50 lbs.
* Know how to cook meat on a broiler and grill to the exact temperature
* High level of professionalism
* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods
* Comfortable working with a team in a high volume & fast-paced kitchen
environment
Job Requirements:
* Passion for building a solid team
* High volume restaurant and catering experience
* Organizational skills
* Willing to learn and adapt to new procedures
* Strong Knife and Communication Skills
* Certification by NYC DOH
* The ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure while understanding
the principles of People, Product, and
Process.
* Produce accurate recipes and photo specifications for new dishes implemented
on menus.
* Take ownership of kitchen cleanliness at all times.
* Take ownership for correct portion control and that wastage is kept to a
minimum, ensuring that correct stock rotation is evident within the kitchen.
* Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights and weekend
