Reporting to the CEO, the Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods.  It is necessary to display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization and planning skills.


Education & Experience

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Experience in purchasing/procurement, logistics, or supply chain
  • 3+ years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or relevant position required.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Suite

 

A Day in the Life

A typical day as the Supply Chain Manager is built on teamwork as you collaborate and partner with numerous cross-functional team members and external vendors/agencies to ensure that the restaurants have all the supplies and goods they need, when they need them to deliver an exception customer experience and achieve the financial objectives the company has for food cost and supplies.  This role requires managing calendars and tasks lists, as well as leading others through non-direct reporting relationships.

This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys being a key contributor on a team, leading cross-functional groups, embraces ambiguity and loves problem solving.

Key Impact Areas/Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Establishes performance metrics to measure, compare, or evaluate supply chain factors.
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials, goods, and supplies in the company.
  • Maintains the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase the efficiency of the supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.

Product Procurement:

  • Provides regular updates to senior leadership on the status of all supply chain sourcing for both existing and new stores.
  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on the availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Coordinates engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

 

Relationship Management & Negotiation:

  • Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Builds out Vendor Management Program for the brand and oversees said program to ensure optimal vendor performance, vendor pricing, etc. Monitors the performance of vendors and suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Works closely with the Finance & Accounting team to regularly review all vendor invoicing to ensure adherence to agreed contract terms and identify billing errors.
