MODENA is seeking a Line Cook to work alongside our award winning chef, John Melfi. His culinary background includes Fiola, Fiola Mare, Blue Duck Tavern, The Oval Room & more.
We prefer applicants with strong food & beverage knowledge, and there are exciting growth opportunities with us for the right applicant.
The LINE COOK will be responsible for assisting the executive chef and upholding our standards for both food and service that we've maintained over the last 25+ years. The menu reflects both classic Italian dishes as well as modern takes on the classics.
Job Summary:
Uphold the standards laid out by the Executive Chef and General Manager
Work cohesively with managers and FOH staff to ensure a positive guest experience.
Ensures that all the recipes, food preparations and presentations meet restaurant's specifications and commitment to quality.
Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen.
Demonstrates this example using proper food-handling techniques.
Requirements:
Experienced Cook
• Must have prior experience in a fine dining restaurant; Italian Restaurant experience preferred
• Must ensure that all the recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the restaurant's specifications and commitment to quality.
• Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, and provides professional
• Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen.
