An immediate opportunity exists for proven restaurant professionals with the ability to maintain our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Patina Restaurant Group is looking for Hosts/Hostesses that are charismatic individuals who are able to interact with all guests in a professional demeanor. The Host and/or Hostess is responsible for graciously greeting guests upon arrival and escorting them to their table. The representative manages special seating requests and reservations consistent with table availability. He/she must facilitate table arrangements if any changes from default are required. The Host and/or Hostess will be required to take phone calls and answer questions and concerns as needed and relay other messages to the front of the house and back of the house staff appropriately.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Graciously greet guests upon their arrival and escort to table in a courteous manner.

· Answer telephone graciously and handle the calls patiently and according to protocol.

· Complete and post the setup of table assignments for all dining room personnel.

· Check table setting for completeness and organization.

· Responsible for accurately taking down, confirming, and running reservation bookings throughout restaurant services.

· Ensure that all food and drink orders are being completed correctly, taking into account food allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests.

· Maintain cleanliness and handling of menus. Keep hostess area clean.

· Manage telephone calls and patrons at all times, relaying messages appropriately.

· Maintain accurate coat check.

· Knowledge and maintenance of Front of House forms.

· Have a complete knowledge of restaurant organization, history, values, employees, cuisine specialties and beverages, be able to answer customer questions regarding the venue or company.

· Assist customer concerns and maintain guest satisfaction at all times.

You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at management's discretion.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point of sale (POS) systems, and any other required operating machines (i.e. online or digital reservation systems).

· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed.

· Possess exceptional communication skills and an ability to anticipate guests needs; an approachable demeanor with guests as well as with employees is essential.

· Ability to effectively communicate with customers in the most polite and professional demeanor with a sense of style and charisma

· Maintain a professional and polished appearance combined with the ability to interact with all types of guests.

· Have passion for fine dining combined with substantial food and service knowledge.

· Must be able to multitask in a demanding, high volume environment.

· The ability to speak a secondary language is convenient but not necessary.
