THE POSITION SUMMARY:

Pastry Cook

Patina Restaurant Group is looking for Pastry Cooks that are passionate pastry professionals who are dedicated to producing exquisite desserts and similar products for their valued guests. Pastry Cooks will carry on all necessary culinary duties in the pasty and dessert line. They will be able to work as a cohesive team and have exquisite attention to detail in cleanliness and quality throughout any of their tasks.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee the daily production of the pastry and/or dessert program at their venue.
- Maintain the pastry and dessert menu for their restaurant concept, according to recipes and restaurant standards and stay current with dessert trends.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as a part of a team or with minimal supervision and complete all necessary kitchen and sometimes administrative tasks.
- Maintain complete knowledge and cleanliness of work stations according to company standards.
- Ensure that all food items are being completed correctly, taking into account food allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests.

You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at management's discretion. 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 1 years’ experience or training as a Pastry Cook in a restaurant with a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume.
- Culinary Degree preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed.     
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance combined with the ability to interact with all types of guests.   
- Have passion for fine dining combined with substantial food and service knowledge.  
- Must be able to multitask in a demanding, high volume environment.
- The ability to speak a secondary language is convenient but not necessary.
