OUR EXPECTATIONS

We are seeking a Restaurant Marketing Analyst with extensive experience in data analytics and metrics optimization, and adept at leveraging data critical to the Company making tactical business decisions, maximizing profits and increasing efficiency. The Restaurant Marketing Analyst will conduct performance analyses; analyzing both product categories and the overall profitability of the business. Our ideal candidate will empower data-driven strategic decision making by turning large data into actionable insights.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and R&D teams to develop and define product categories and execute a retail business plan which will drive the growth of Paris Baguette.
  • Product portfolio management: annual business unit and category strategic planning with strong market insight development.
  • Analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand
  • Develop and implement effective pricing structure to maintain the overall category competitive advantage in the market
  • Disseminate value by presenting learning's, insights, trends, customer feedback and conclusions that provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders (i.e., marketing leadership, FOCUS leadership, Franchise Partners).
  • Utilize POS and consumer metrics to understand impact on brand sales and traffic.
  • Analyze past promotions and on-going programs in order to determine solid business conclusions using metrics like sales, transactions, mix, cost, etc.
  • Participate in the forecasting process along with purchasing; model financial risk of ingredient costs based on past performance and projections
  • Design test and control scenarios for implementing tests in the field; evaluate and analyze on-going results based on success criteria established during test design
  • Turn large data-based analyses into clear, concise and compelling presentations with actionable insights
  • Project Management of developing and executing reports and conducting analyses to provide valuable insights of the business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automated reports on key results and performance metrics to support and improve business decisions.
  • Use advanced analytical skills to monitor trends, diagnose problems and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to manage, manipulate and analyze large volumes of data and interpret into meaningful reports and dashboards.
  • Utilize data to make actionable recommendations at all levels.
  • Aggregate data from multiple data sources to provide a complete picture and tell a story of the market and customer experience.
  • Interpret results of promotions and processes, making valuable suggestions to raise future performance.
  • Remain up to date with new technologies to identify opportunities to improve business intelligence processes.
  • Perform analyses to understand business performance, trends and customer behavior, and make recommendations to improve the profitability the Paris Baguette business model:
    • Sales analysis including price, volume, and product mix impact
    • Profitability per item and category
    • Product costing analysis
    • Marketing actions Return On Investment
    • Performance by trade channels.
  • Sales projections, including Price and Menu change impact.
  • Develop and implement effective pricing structure to maintain the overall category competitive advantage in the market.
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising, marketing and digital innovation strategies.
  • Develop and monitor data quality metrics to ensure that all data and reporting needs are met.
  • Analyze customer-level data to understand customer behavior and trends to provide strategic recommendations on ways to optimize and refine promotional activity.
  • Gather, synthesize and analyze information into intelligence that can be used to make informed business decisions.
  • Consolidation, analysis and presentation to the management.
  • Responsible for studying market condition to assess the potential sales of products and services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years marketing analytics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in similar or related field.
  • Experience in the Restaurant or Food & Beverage industry, required.
  • Proven analytical background and experience.
  • Advanced Excel and Financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral presentations.
  • Creative Problem-solver.
  • Strong understanding of database structure and management.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS/Restaurant 365 and Marketing Vitals is a major plus.
  • Highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments & quality of work product required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work extended work hours and travel as needed to support business needs.
