Job Title: Franchise Accountant

Reports to: Controller

OUR EXPECTATIONS

We are seeking a Franchise Accountant who will be responsible for managing the books of our franchise entity. This includes securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, working closely with our Franchisee’s to resolve any discrepancies or inquiries. Our ideal candidate is someone who has great customer service qualities, accounting, communication and organizational skills.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Responsible for franchisees information in our ERP system (Restaurant 365), including Updating franchise accounts based on payment or contact information.

·         Calculating, booking and invoicing franchise fees, royalty fees, marketing fees in accordance with the franchise agreement and the US GAAP

·         Tracking, booking and invoicing all the goods bought by the franchisees from the Paris Baguette Supply Chain

·         Managing the Accounts Receivable function, meaning:

o    Collecting funds from the franchisees,

o    Resolving any invoicing or collection issue,

o    Reconciling the funds collected with the invoices issued,

o    Preparing the AR aging report for review by the management,

o    Alerting about any collection issues

o    Performing account reconciliations

o    Resolving any issues or discrepancies

·         Managing the deferred revenue schedule related to franchise fees (based on US GAAP)

·         Managing the Marketing Funds (collection of marketing fees, reconciliation, allocation of marketing expenses, producing reports for the marketing team)

·         Managing the balance-sheet, including accounts reconciliations

·         Building and maintain relationship with Paris Baguette Franchisee’s

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

·         Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

·         4-5 years Accountants Receivable and Accounting Experience, preferably in the franchise industry

·         Restaurant 365 software, preferred

·         Franchise Restaurant/Food/Hospitality operations experience, required. 

·         Ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary.

·         Customer Service and interpersonal skills, including high integrity, respect for all customers, vendors and employees.
