WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

We are seeking a Marketing Analyst who will serve as our bakery café marketing analytics expert for the Paris Baguette brand that aligns both Corporate and Franchisee cafes on product categories. This individual will use data to identify and provide actionable insights to develop strategic business decisions around product development, menu management, and pricing, as well as overall performance analysis of product tests, marketing promotions, digital innovation, and new café openings.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and R&D teams to develop and define product categories and execute a strategic business plan which will drive the growth of Paris Baguette.
  • Involvement in development of annual product development calendar.
  • Analyze data regarding customer demographics, visitation and buying habits to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand.
  • Develop and implement semi-annual price increases based on price elasticity modeling based on guest’s behavior.
  • Analyze past promotions and on-going programs in order to determine solid business conclusions using metrics like sales, guest counts, product mix, cost, etc.
  • Participate in the forecasting process along with Purchasing Team; model financial risk of ingredient costs based on past performance and projections
  • Design test and control scenarios for implementing tests in the field; evaluate and analyze on-going results based on success criteria established during test design.
  • Turn large data-based analyses into clear, concise and compelling presentations with actionable insights
  • Project Management of developing and executing reports and conducting analyses to provide valuable insights of the business.
  • Use advanced analytical skills to monitor trends, diagnose problems and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to aggregate data from multiple data sources into meaningful reports and dashboards that provide a complete picture of the business. 
  • Remain up to date with new analytics technologies to identify opportunities to improve business intelligence processes.
  • Perform analyses to understand business performance, trends and customer behavior, and make recommendations to improve the profitability the Paris Baguette business model:
    • Sales analysis including price, volume, and product mix impact
    • Profitability per item and category
    • Product costing analysis
    • Marketing actions Return On Investment
    • Performance by trade channels
  • Analyze customer-level data to understand customer behavior and trends to provide strategic recommendations on ways to optimize and refine promotional activity.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Minimum of 3+ years marketing analytics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in similar or related field.
  • Experience in the Restaurant or Food & Beverage industry, required.
  • Proven analytical background and experience.
  • Advanced Excel and Financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral presentations.
  • Creative Problem-solver.
  • Strong understanding of database structure and management.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS/Restaurant 365 and Marketing Vitals is a major plus.
  • Highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments & quality of work product required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support business needs.
