Gaming Engineer


Description

Here at Puttshack we are expanding our Gaming Development team. We are on the search for a Software Developer; as part of this role you will be exposed to the entire software development lifecycle, you will be working with our teams on the specification, design, coding, testing and deployment of the code behind our gaming system.

 

Our ideal candidate is passionate, driven and upbeat.

 

Location:   

 

This role will be primarily working from home, and you will be expected to attend our venues and offices.

 

Working Hours: 

 

Approximately 40 hours per week usually worked over five days.

 

Reports to:

 

Head of Gaming System Development

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·       Maintenance of existing code and improvements

·       Developing new features for the gaming system

·       Development of our API

·       Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

·       Collaborate with other teams including design and electronics teams.

 

Who you are:

 

·       A desire to learn new technologies

·       Strong C# knowledge

·       Strong Unity knowledge

·       Solid understanding of SQL Server and Stored Procedures

·       Web application development experience

·       Proven skills in jQuery and AJAX

·       CSS and HTML knowledge

·       An understanding of .Net Core framework

·       Microsoft Azure (preferable)

·       Gaming experience (preferable)

·       Good communication skills



Qualifications and Experience:


·       Development in a commercial environment

·       A degree in Software Engineering or related field, or relevant experience

·       Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

·       Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
