Restaurant Deliveries Assistant - Temporary Role

Quaglino’s has been the star of St. James’s since it opened all the way back in 1929. As the Restaurant Deliveries Assistant you will be accepting goods and deliveries for the restaurant and then distributing appropriately. You will check the quality, prices, weights and specification of all deliveries to make sure they meet the restaurant requirements whilst reporting all discrepancies to a senior member of the kitchen team.

You will also ensure that the Back of House store areas are kept tidy and organised. Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items. Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas. Organise, clean, and sanitise all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

The working hours for this position are: 7am until 2pm (Tuesday to Saturday)

The ideal candidate will:
• Worked as a food delivery assistant in a busy restaurant, club or hotel environment
• Have good numeracy skills and be organised and methodical at work
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is essential
• Be an excellent team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
