OUR HISTORY
The Rainbow Room, the quintessential New York venue, has been the site of some of the city's most celebrated events since first opening in 1934.
What is required:
-Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests.
-Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
-Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned.
-Experience in suggestive selling techniques.
-Knowledge of spirits, wines and cocktails.
-Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
What it takes:
-Requires 2 years server experience in fine dining (upscale) a la carte service
-Passionate about providing an excellent guest service experience
-Work to understand, meet and exceed guests expectations
-Exude in a team environment
-Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
-Possess computer skills.
-Must be willing to work as necessary in changing climate conditions
-Maintain a positive attitude in the work environment
-Must have early morning/lunch full time availability, Monday - Friday, as well as holidays
Other things to consider:
- A significant portion of the work day requires walking and standing
-Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space
-Must able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
-Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
