OUR HISTORY<br><br>The Rainbow Room, the quintessential New York venue, has been the site of some of the city's most celebrated events since first opening in 1934.<br><br>We are seeking skilled, passionate professionals who take great pride in delivering unparalleled experiences and who value teamwork, integrity and professional development in a spectacular, world-class setting.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Beginning of Shift<br>1. Place the ‘Welcome to Bar 65’ sign at the front entrance of the bar.<br>2. Arrange the jelly beans on the host podium; create bowls for the Bar, Gallery, and Mezzanine.<br>3. Print out a cover count summary from Open Table and deliver to the kitchen.<br>4. Print out Event details, Event Staff lists, and Daily notes to be delivered to the mezzanine and gallery podiums.<br>5. Assign positions for the hosts working that day and print out the Assignment Sheet to be on display for when the hosts arrive.<br>6. Set up the Microsoft Surface on the host podium in order to print out all necessary notes.<br>7. Review all the Reservations for the day from Open Table and record all VIP and special occasion reservations on the Host Closing List to be printed throughout the night.<br>8. Review all large parties coming in throughout the evening and arrange the floor appropriately for the beginning of service.<br>9. Ensure that all tables have Reserved signs placed on them.<br>10. Place Bar 65 cards and menus on the host podium for display.<br><br>During Shift<br>1. Seat reservations as they arrive, ensuring that it is done evenly and consistently among the server sections while including walk-in parties when tables become available.<br>2. Have the Bar 65 Host runner do frequent table checks and ensure the floor on Open Table is updated.<br>3. Plan ahead for large parties coming in, either saving tables or doing Out-Bys for walk-ins to have the table ready for when the party arrives.<br>4. Check the Server Cover count throughout the night in an attempt to make their covers as even as possible.<br>5. Print out all pertinent notes for the servers and make sure they are communicated to managers and the kitchen when necessary.<br>6. Make sure all hosts working over 6 hours are given a 30 minute break.<br><br>End of Shift<br>1. Prepare the closing Bar 65 Host for any upcoming reservations and large parties, ensuring they are aware of any VIPs or special occasions that need to be printed.<br>2.
