Santa Monica Proper is seeking a Concierge.
A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and almost 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail.
Job Overview
• Maintain knowledge about all aspects of Santa Monica and Los Angeles
• Provide information and/or answering questions about local area attractions and things to do
• Coordinate all guest requests for special arrangements or services in a courteous and efficient manner
• Maintain an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events
• Maintain a current, detailed, and organized collection of information on the area activities, events and businesses
• Inform guest of hotel services, features and room amenities
• Answering the telephone in a professional manger and assisting guest with any questions, directions, etc.
Qualifications
• Experience in a similar role in a hospitality environment preferred
• Dependable, detail-oriented and organized
• Able to work under pressure
• Opera PMS knowledge
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
• Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Collaborate with Colleagues cross-departmentally
• Perform job functions and attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
