Revenue Manager


Description

Purpose and Scope: 

The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue and profits by supporting the Director of Revenue Management in the strategic coordination of revenue management reporting, processes and procedures.

 

Secondary support is to assist with training details of incoming leisure room reservation operating functions within the property management system.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions-Tasks:

·      Create, update and share revenue reports on a daily / weekly / monthly / ad hoc basis.

·      Conducts systems audits for consistency of availability rates and inventory across all channels.

·      Assist in monitor of rate parity.

·      Reconcile travel agent commission process in Onyx and CTAC (Marriott Systems).

·      Assists with room control process to maximize room type revenue.

·      Assists group sales with monitor of release dates and room blocking.

·      Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximize on all possible opportunities and minimize any risks.

·      Active participation in weekly revenue optimization meetings.

·       Monitor reservation booked reports several times daily to note outliers or new trends or demand dates/events.

 

·      Reconcile travel agent commission process in Onyx and CTAC (Marriott Systems).

·      Manually posts points that guest is eligible within Marriott Systems

·      Audits to ensure certificates are posted in IMS for receival of base rate on free night awards.

·      Audits to ensure premiums have been posted at night audit when thresholds are achieved.

 

·      Build an effective working relationship with hotel operations to maintain their trust and confidence in the Revenue Management decisions and actions being taken pertaining to inventory and rate control, pricing and overbooking

·      Feed ideas and suggestions to strive for constant improvement of operating procedures.

·      Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.

·      Monitor and respond to guest reservation requests via email and third party extra-nets.

·      Exhibit competent knowledge of hotel facilities, services and activations.

·      Coordinate any special billing arrangements on future reservations as requested or assigned.

·      Coordinate and verify guest credit card authorization for third party payment options.

 

 

 

·      Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and problem identification.

·      Complete assignments on time, accurately and to specifications as required or requested.

·      Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

·      Intermediate skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

·      Technically skilled in managing all systems related to Revenue Management preferred.

 

 

 General Skills/Knowledge/Work Experience/Education/Certification/License:

Required: Outgoing, enthusiastic personality with superior guest service skills. Excellent English and verbal/written communication skills. Previous reservations or customer service experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Sabre CRS, Marriott Systems, DELPHI sales and catering system and INFOR HMS PMS property management system and Duetto (a plus).
