Assistant Revenue Manager


Description

Santa Monica Proper Hotel is seeking an Assistant Revenue Manager. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, our 271-room property features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Job Overview

The Assistant Revenue Manager is responsible for assisting in maximizing revenue and profits while covering the Director of Revenue Management duties when required.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Builds all rates, packages, and hotel sales strategy information in the hotel(s) inventory systems
  • Assist in report generation to create Budgets, Forecasts, Group Evaluations, Weekly, Monthly reports etc. and implement yield strategies based on such reports
  • Assisting the Area Director of Revenue Management to maximize revenues by monitoring transient and group production, ensuring that an optimal guest mix is maintained
  • Assisting in the monitoring/management RMS while analyzing the impact of the revenue management strategies implemented
  • Assisting in the auditing of property's position in the GDS and other distribution channels, ensuring that the property's position is consistent with its selling strategies
  • Assisting the Revenue Director in analyzing events/trends that may impact the property's revenues
  • Ensure and follow the digital marketing process for website changes, email blast requests and visibility, metasearch parity, geo-targeted and PPC rate deployment
  • Be familiar with duties of Director of Revenue such as forecasting, coding, closing out and restricting dates

Requirements

  • College degree in hospitality management, business, revenue management, accounting, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Excel is a plus
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
