Description
As a Head Coach, you are not only an ultimate ambassador of South Block and our mission but you play a pivotal role in the development and growth of your team as well as managing all operations to maintain the mission of The Block. You love people and making their day, but more than that – you are passionate about helping people be their best and leading high performing teams. You love driving your business and your team to be their best while having fun doing it. Your smiling face and positive vibes will be the first and last things our guests and blockstars experience, and making people feel awesome is what YOU do!!

YOUR DUTIES:

- Lead your team to deliver the kind of guest service that makes people feel awesome and return and tell everyone what a great experience they had at your Block! #fistbumpsallday.

- Develop and coach your team to work together in delivering amazing guest experiences.

- Drive your business! Analyze your results to determine what your teams should mix and blend everyday, all day. Work with your teams to find new guests and get them into your Block.

- Act as a company advocate and embody the South Block values: purpose, innovation, community, appreciation, positivity, cleanliness and making people feel awesome!

- Oversee and manage all areas of the store – people, guests, and the business. It sounds easy, but it's pretty complex as we mix, blend and deliver all day long – so you’ll move between these three areas multiple times in a day.

- Create the environment – you set the tone for the behavior and attitude for your store- act with energy, a smile, care, integrity, honesty, and knowledge.

- Work a varied schedule to ensure you see every part of the business day.

- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.

- Actively participate with management team to improve store performance in areas of guest experience, controllable expenses, marketing, blockstar retention, training, and development.

- A problem solver who can quickly create solutions for issues that arise.

- Detail-oriented and positive by nature with a natural smile that is always on - people want to be around YOU!~

YOU HAVE:

- A passion and love of the South Block product, brand, and experience. ONE BLOCK

- Management and leadership experience a fast pace/ high volume establishment.

- Excellent judgment, communication skills and business acumen.

- Ability to communicate verbally and professionally with the support center, teams and guests.

- A degree of some sort that shows us you love to learn, in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred, but if you can relate your experience to acai bowls and smoothies, we can’t wait to hear how.

- Necessary Food Handlers Certificate (store/city specific).

- Good and stamina and energy. You love being on your feet and can lift up to 25 pounds, carrying boxes of fruit, acai, and paper goods.

- Must be able to move around the workspace as you bend down to scoop ingredients for menu items and reach up to maneuver blenders and crafting of bowls.

- Deliverer of good vibes in each guest experience with a smiling face and a fist bump.
