South Place is a luxury five-star hotel in the City of London, the first from restaurateurs, D&D London. Having been open since 2012, South Place has become a neighbourhood favourite and an international destination.
We are boutique, luxurious and fresh-faced. Our 80 bedrooms are all designed by Conran + Partners, blending modern technology with comfort; they’re perfect for those travelling for work or play.
Conran’s iconic signature continues throughout; across the ground floor Chop House, our Michelin-starred rooftop seafood restaurant Angler, our bars, dens and terraces. Even the meeting and event spaces, and the spa and gym feature their creative stamp.
Inspired details and playful touches mirror the vibrant neighbourhood, a deft mixture of the contemporary City, London’s most historic quarters and the achingly cool East End.
During the week the hotel exudes stylish business buzz and at the weekend it slips into something more elegant….
Role:
We are looking for a passionate Maintenance Engineer who can confidently deliver exceptional, 5 star service. The successful Maintenance Engineer will understand the different needs of different businesses and departments within them, as well as the varied profiles and priorities of hotel and restaurant guests. In addition to the maintenance for South Place Hotel, our maintenance team provides coverage and support to some of our sister businesses within D&D London, comprising of 2 restaurants, a wine retail and dining space and a very busy, high profile bar.
What we are looking for:
• Seamless running of all engineering aspects of our luxury properties, ensuring our guests receive the ultimate experience.
• Knowledgeable of all hotel maintenance, plant room equipment, Health and Safety regulations.
• Checks and routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, fire alarm and other plant to ensure their trouble free operations
• Routine maintenance of the building such as re-decoration and replacement of bulbs.
• Reactive maintenance work as a matter of urgency with minimal disruption to guests.
• Qualified Gas Safe Engineer or Electrician would be desirable
Overall you will have bags of personality, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
