Our restaurant concepts include Tin Lizzy's Cantina, The Southern Gentleman, Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails, Gypsy Kitchen, The Big Ketch, Chido & Padres, The Blind Pig, Ocean & Acre, and Monte Vista Boutique Hotel.

The Manager in Training position is a learning role within our organization. This person should be someone that is interested in restaurant management but does not already have restaurant management experience. We put this person through a 6-week training program, where they are training in a different unit each week to understand the responsibilities of Front of House and Back of House Managers, at different dining service levels.

Once the 6-week training period is complete, this Manager in Training (MIT) will be considered a "floating" manager and will be assigned to different units as needed by staffing levels, until a permanent position opens up at a unit, and the Manager in Training finds their forever home in our company and officially becomes a Restaurant Manager. While the MIT is acting as a "floater" they will have the opportunity to take management and leadership development courses to better prepare them for the duties of Management.

Compensation: This position starts at $35k per year and goes up to $40k per year upon the successful completion of the 6-week training program.

Hours: During training, you will work 40 hours per week with a varying schedule; After the successful completion of training your hours will vary based on the needs of the unit you are working at.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Responsible for opening and closing restaurant procedures;
• Assist with managing guest complaints;
• Supervise cleaning and delivery staff;
• Identify problems with working conditions and report them to management;
• Closes out servers and bartenders at the end of their shift;
• Balance registers upon as part of restaurant closing procedures;
• Understand the restaurant’s budget in planning, staffing, marketing, and sales objectives;
• Oversee daily maintenance of all equipment, stock areas, dining areas, building, and grounds;

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Positive interpersonal skills required
• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Must be able to work the hours dictated by the business and schedule set in place by the Manager; Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous restaurant experience required
• County Alcohol Serving Permit Required (depending on county working in)
• Successful completion of Food Safety certification required with 30 days of hire
