The Standard Grill is seeking EXPERIENCED Sushi Helpers to join our amazing staff!
Executive Chef Kevin Chojnowski and Chef de Cuisine Ryan Jordan are seeking Sushi Helpers with AT LEAST five years of fine dining experience, and 2 years of Japanese restaurant/sushi experience. Must be a people person, as this role will work in the raw bar with frequent guest interaction.
The ideal candidate:
1. Has 5+ years of fine dining experience
2. Has 2+ years of Japanese restaurant/sushi experience
3. Has a familiarity with Japanese ingredients
4. Has a good background in food handling, kitchen procedures and etiquette, etc.
5. Has an intimate knowledge of fish and seafood
6. Has some customer service/sales/retail background
7. Is able to lift/carry at least 50+ lbs., can spend full 8 hour shifts on feet.
8. Is fluent in English, written and verbal
